Tea Party
Sometimes its hard to listen to myself....
The one voice said "you are good enough" But that never really sinks in as the others do, taunting Fucking voices I'm just thankful for the company But sharing one cup of tea becomes tedious
Wonderful. Definitely hard! You know sometimes when I try to come to your blog, I get warning messages so I don't always come - so sorry! I will try to bypass them.
I so know - the good stuff has a hard time competing with the crappy stuff. But the older I get, the more I understand - the crappy stuff just needs one big old Delete button!
. . . like applauding with one hand, yes. Lonely in there/here. But, remember that inviting all the demons in for tea only works if you kindly ignore them.
The voices and I understand each other, but we still sometimes continue racing in place on that same rabid rodent hamster wheel of pointlessness. The only good thing is, the older I get, the deafer I get. This is solid, Corey.
That sounds strangely familiar to the guest I have for tea sometimes, too. Hmm...I say put out or get out...that doubting voice just needs to get fu****!! Wow. Did I say that out loud!? Lol!!

ReplyDeleteYou *aren't* "good enough", Mister. What you are is "awesome".

ReplyDeleteMine don't share. They gulp it down, each their own cup, then I suffer by spending half the morning running to the loo. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYes, tea with the voices in my head can be quite interesting.
ReplyDeletei'll come over for tea! i'll even bring my own cup! you can read your poems and i'll listen all day :)

ReplyDeleteOnly believe the voices you WANT to believe. That's my philosophy. LOL.
ReplyDeleteDrinking tea and listening to the voices in my head can be a bit too much...I try drowning them in tequila at times. :) Love it!!
ReplyDeleteI love tea. Sometimes I look inside the cup and see the reflection and realize why I love tea.
ReplyDeleteI echo Sherry's and Fireblossom's comments.
...be kind to yourself, for you are a child of the Universe!
tu amigo!
Haha! Sharing a cup of tea with oneself... Don't knock it!
ReplyDeleteYep, awesome fits you to a tee! Make mine coffee ... then we can talk!
ReplyDeleteI was interested to see where you will take this...don't listen to such voices, you are good and better each time ~
ReplyDeleteI totally feel this. Why won't they just shut up?
ReplyDeleteDamn, we drank the same f-ing tea!
ReplyDeleteLet's skip the tea and have some strong coffee
and we will kick the crap out of those voices~ ;D
Love this one, because, well, it is a place I know--the image of drinking that tedious cup of tea says a lot.
